Worawa was one of fifteen schools in Victoria that participated in a student literacy and school engagement curriculum project throughout 2011-12. The research report associated with the project entitled Learning in Motion: Connecting Schools and Knowledge for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children. Investigating iPads for learning and literacy describes the research and includes a broad discussion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education. Issues arising include: That electronic tablet devices support literacy progress and engagement with schooling of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children when applications are culturally inclusive and respectful of local community culture and knowledge. This report is a preliminary study that provides a basis for ongoing research. Apart from general detail, schools have been de-identified regarding data.
