Learning at Worawa
Students learn in a structured classroom environment with clear expectations and consistent support.
The focus is on building core skills, strengthening engagement, and helping students gain confidence in learning. Over time, students begin to take on greater responsibility and leadership in their learning.
Teaching is adjusted to meet students where they are. This helps students stay connected to learning and experience success.
Personalised Learning
Each student has a personalised learning plan.
This begins with assessment and is shaped by what staff learn about the student over time. Plans are reviewed regularly and updated as students develop.
Students are grouped by year level, with each student supported at their level of learning.
Culture in Learning
Culture is part of learning at Worawa.
The cultural program is guided by the Aboriginal Curriculum Advisory Committee. Our Elder in Residence works alongside students and staff to ensure culture remains present in everyday learning.
Students are supported to build a strong sense of identity while continuing their education.
Teaching and Support
Learning is led by teachers and Learning Support staff who understand the needs of our students.
Staff work closely together across the classroom. They focus on building trust and keeping students engaged in their learning.
Learning Support staff work alongside teachers to provide additional assistance where it is needed. This helps students stay engaged and continue making progress.
Pathways
Learning at Worawa supports students to take the next step beyond school.
Students work toward further education, training, or employment. They build the skills needed to move forward with confidence and make decisions about their future.
