Volunteer Opportunities

Worawa Aboriginal College is the only boarding school in Australia that caters specifically for Aboriginal girls in secondary years of schooling. Students come from urban, regional and remote Aboriginal communities across the country. The Worawa residential model has a distinctive profile based on an integrated Education, Culture, and Wellbeing model. Making Worawa a great place to complete placement, a gap year or to volunteer.

Volunteering is part of Victoria's identity and volunteers are at the heart of our community. We recognise that volunteers build stronger, more resilient, and inclusive communities and are vital to many things Victorians do. (Department of Families, Fairness and Housing). At Worawa we acknowledge and value the contribution of volunteers and what they bring to community. Wed embrace the diverse skills, experience and wisdom that accompany their journey.

For individuals completing Cert I or II in Active Volunteering or those that have a specialist passion or hobby relevant to Youth Worawa would appreciate receiving an expression of interest from you.

Please contact our Head of Boarding in our below inquiry form if you are interested. We hope to hear from you!
